The legendary
firebird, This car has rumored to be kicking butt in the street races for quite
sometime, maybe the next two videos proves he still has a little of it left.

A new import that has
potential, showing to fair well in stock trim, maybe I'll get to see the rematch
after he gets a little more boost. Appears the stang lost due to missing a gear
but then came back to win.
Ok here is some old race buddies going after each other once again. You think these few clips are too many races, hell they use to race every weekend back in the StangVSstang days. Now it's Supra versus Super charged stang. These videos just goes to show even a car you beat three times can win once. Watch the Twin turbo Supra come out ahead on every races except one, The third race the Supra driver screwed up and the converter came unlock. If you listen to the video you can hear the supra sound like it down shifted for a moment before he hit the manual lock up switch. However, the Supra still got him by a couple of feets. It made one hell of a clip to watch though, it's one of my favorites. The other runs the Supra was way ahead, not sure if reaction was a big factor or what. If it's like the old stang days it could be the other way around the next weekend, the car is still being tuned so who knows. If it gets on video it will be posted here :)
Here is an old friend of the Supra owner, His 7.50 1/8 stang would smoke the Supra at the track on any given day. However, on the street the Supra claims king....well until he can get his car to hook! =)

Supra gets talked into a run from a roll at a MPH that is in between gears. So he opt for the lower gear and tried to shift out before rev limit. Well as you can hear he did not make it in time. However, once out of the limiter it was pulling hard on the Firebird. 1/2 car or so by the camera and 1.5 or so by the end. People there thought the Firebird was the one in the limiter =) and thought it was modded to be hanging with Supra. I say na, Supra's don't pull on rev limiter. ;-)

Here is what the Gtech said the Supra was running like on 8-17-2002. The Supra always gets gteched in the same spot for consistency.
Supra puts it on a mustang with Spray, at the very start of the clip you can see very short clip where the supra got him so hard on the first jump that he lifted and the Supra did too, after a tire pressure adjustment to the stang they llined up for another round where the supra claims the win.
Supra runs a another AWD eclipse, the camera was on manual focus and you get a dark blurry video, hey you don't have to watch them :) Supra won both races but the Eclipse owner claims to have a tuning error on his ECU, I will know what that is like when I go with my new AEM EMS. :)
this is a week later, the Eclipse did a little retuning, , I guess the Supra owner got worried about that AWD launching on him and this time Supra did a little spinning. The Camera man was about 100ft from the finish. The Supra Catches and passes the Eclipse just before the Camera.
Ok the moment since I started this video thing that you all have been waiting for. The Supra don't cherry pick races, They are pick by anything that wants to run even if it's out the Supra's league. So here is a Street GN once owned by a performance store. The car runs 7.3 at the track with out NOS. Since the camera man did not have formal training I have to tell the start. I think the Supra got a short lead, before the GN's boost hit before the Supra's. GN took the lead by a car, and that was only the first 100ft after that the GN appeared to pull another 1/2 car or so before claiming victory. No Excuses but bear in mind the Supra is still stock twins no electronics, He has a another 200rwhp waiting in the living room, but the GN has Spray that was not used here so stay tuned for the rematch :)
Here is a video of Supra putting a whipping on a Legend. The car they said could not be beaten. I had to post this because Supra got ragged so much about getting beat on worn out tires the last time the two tied up with him spraying. This will more then likely cause another rematch. I'm sure he will change something and come back to try for victory. Sorry about the jumpy video, don't blame me I was not holding the camera. You know at least it did get on film :) BTW if I ever get the video of him beating the Supra on the worn out tires I will post it too.
Here is a race with another GN, The Supra was called out on this one. The first race Supra lost, excuses or not the flagman did not follow instructions. Then second race was flagged correctly and the Supra won, however, then GN says his car was over heating. I know the feeling, my converter does this to me, so there will be a tie breaker coming soon.
Same day, another one agrees to the flag correctly and did not do it. The supra launched after hearing the other guy drop the hammer, If you have to cheat to race then why bother? Even with me leaving on his go, I manage to stay with him but got edged out by a half of a car. The guy did agree to another run with out the car's owner being the flagman until he realize his NOS was out. This guy runs across the street in front of his own car drunk. It people like this that takes the fun out of street racing.

Well a buddy of mine wasted no time in volunteering the Supra for a battle against the trailered truck.
I think the Supra won this race but it's one of those where was the finish line, the Supra left him at the line to play catch up. The last gear the truck was coming back quick. Right when you here the pop he just past the Supra by a foot. He was only there for a moment, so the Supra can't claim 100% victory cause he did catch up but where was the finish line. We really needed a guy at the finish line, not run until someone catches the other. Because if you win the 1/8th and 1/4th what does it matter if the truck had the lead for a moment after the 1/8 but before the 1/4. LOL.
It's probably one of those each claims their on victory, I say when doubt put a guy at the finish and do it again.
Poor oh Peck, thought it was a slow Eclipse. There was no doubt in my mind who would win this race but if you announce your worse time slip you just might have a few takers. The Camaro with his 315 nittos jump at the chance to race this AWD eclipse.
The Supra guy instigated this race for entertainment. Once again the supra owner was not watching the finish just the race. When you hear the Supra go to third is right at the eighth. The motor cycle did pass but I believe it was after that. The Supra owner did claim to have won, but I can't say who won 100%, I can say when doubt put a guy at the finish and do it again.
Note: It really sucks not knowing who won, I think we need to do better with that!!!

You want to see another motorcycle run. Well here is the Supra against a GSX R600
from a 90MPH roll on. When the Supra hit Over Drive it just started walking away from the 600.
The Skull got Smashed! This Stang had a huge engine but I did not bother to ask what it was, he also had a little NOS to help out. I heard it ran Mid 7s the night before but not sure. This car had to driven 35MPH to the racing spot. That does not sound very streetable.
As promised, when the Supra gets Striped it gets posted along with the wins. Of coarse I have to post a reason to why the Supra Lost. Well I have a great one for this race. Damn car was quick and it hooked really well. The Stang has a NOS Chevy motor. Reported to me after the race to click off 6.80 at the track. After hearing that I was happy that I was still able to see his tail lights by races end.
Ok, here is a another Supra got whipped but I don't consider this a race because there was no flagman. It was discussed that his rider was going to flag. Well he did not have a rider. WTF anyway, I don't think it would have matter this car reported to run 7.0s, Sounded like it needed to be on a trailer instead of the street.
The thing the camera man did not catch and I had it repeat a few times so you could hear it was the 5.80 car that jump up beside me and almost ran over the car that was beating the Supra. LOL
Here is a friend of the Supra owner, He still tuning on the Stang and has really slick tires to boot. However, just for fun had to have a Supra VS Stang run for the night. When he gets her tuned and hooking I'll post the rematch.

Here is a Stang the has rumored to be a 331 with Spray, however, I been told he does not have spray. I will say this guys has the racing spirit. I'm sure we have more rematches to come. Maybe with spray the next time. For now the Supra has had the better luck. Here is two races from two different nights.
Now here is two good old rivals going head to head once again. So far the Supra has beaten him twice on the street before, however the lighting has not been setting around on the mods, it's always getting faster. Last rumor had it the truck went a low 7s in the 1/8. This run is yet another where is the finish line. The lighting owner believes he won the 1/8 mile but lost to the 1/4mile. From this video it looked like the Supra lost all the way. However at some point the pass did happen I saw it :) We know from the camera it did not happen at 5 seconds into the race and the race ended at 12second. So in those 7 second between it happened. All I know is the Truck got the Supra out the whole on slicks and the street Nitto tired Supra came back around. By the Camera the Truck still had a half a car from his whole shot, but the Supra was already on a come back, When and where did the pass happen is the question. Maybe they will do another rematch with someone on the finish line to call it. Since it was so close we said it was basically a tie. With it that close it will probably change from round to round anyway. Win or Lose it will be posted here
This is a race filmed before the first race on the list, however it was one to put on the list. This is the Supra versus a Super Charged Firebird. They were going to do a rematch but due to complications it got postponed. So when it happens it will be posted win or lose. During the video you can tell he had to pedal the beast due to traction. With a better hooking launch who knows the outcome. For now the Supra has the win.
Did you say you want to see some really fast cars? Well here are some clips from my first NHRA event. Let me tell you, if you have never seen a Top Fuel car run over 300MPH in 4 seconds and felt the ground shake from the Nitro powered supercharged engines than you just have not lived.
My Comments:
Street racing for the most part is a fun sport when done among good sportsman. The flagging of a race can greatly change the out come of a race. I only request that the flagman hold there hands up until the ok I'm ready sign is given. Then with no indication to either driver, drops his hands. Pointing at the drivers then having your buddy to go as soon as you raise your hands not only gives enough of a head start to win most of the races, but it usually is not disputed by the crowd. Several tenth of a second can be gain from cheating and it's not even noticed by most spectators. Due to the fact tenths of second off the line is only inches, tenth of a second at the finish is measured in car lengths.(dont believe me proof below) However when you see the car beside you move before the guy even drops his hands then you know you where jumped. For me I'm tired of bitching about it. If your flagman cant flag as instructed then
then I'll run on your rules, don't ask for a rematch just because you did not get a head start!
Proof of inches turn into feet.
Ok here is the equation for Linear Motion
X=X0+V0*T+1/2*A*T^2
So if you start from a dead stop X0=0 and V0=0 which yields
X=1/2*A*T^2
X = distance traveled
A=G force * 32ft/s^2 (like the GTech shows)
T= time is seconds
So lets take two identical cars that launch at 0.8g pull off the line but one gets 0.1 seconds head start by a cheater flag. The one will have moved 1.5 inches before the other. No big deal right, what does 1.5 inches matter. Hell 1.5inchs in 1 tenths of a second no one watching will ever know. Looked like a great start to the spectator even some drivers never notice. Now you take that 0.1 seconds at then end of 660ft.
Let say they are both traveling 90MPH at the end, that's 132 ft/s. Times that by 0.1 seconds you get 13ft apart!
THAT'S A CAR LENGTH FROM ONLY AN INCH. If you see the car move before the flagman then you can bet you got cheated buy a lot more then a tenth. That is exactly why I bitch about a cheater flag.
