Question: What are the suggested AnteSpam settings for decreasing spam?
Answer:
HiWAAY Technical Support uses these settings for both business and personal email addresses to optimize AnteSpam and slow down the spam flood.
- Set your Junk Sideline Threshold to level 2.
- If you don't receive legitimate foreign lanuage email, click the Block Non-Latin Character Emails option so it is checked.
- Change the Junk Dispose Threshold to level 11 so you don't have to see as much caught spam in your sidelined email.
- Enable the Twice-Weekly Sidelined List Email if you want to recieve an email list of caught spam.
- Faking sender email addresses is a common trick used by spammers. To block this spam don't add your own email address or hiwaay.net to your pass list. This will stop thousands of spam emails with fake addresses from flooding your mailbox.
