Best Effort
DSL is a best effort service, which can provide speeds up to 3Mbps downstream and 384K upstream. (3Mbps speeds are only possible with HiWAAY's Super Fast DSL service.) The actual speed experienced by customers may vary and depends on several factors including the DSL product purchased from HiWAAY, Telco provider, Telco provisioning and line quality, distance from the Telco DSL access point, telephone wiring and attached components in customer facility, destination on the Internet, traffic on the Internet, etc. No minimum level of speed is guaranteed. Connection speed is delivered "as is."
Family Member Mailbox Option
Some members would like to have a separate login ID for family members who wish to have a private electronic mailbox. A subscriber may have additional mailboxes for their immediate family members and dependents at no additional charge. Only the primary account may establish a dial-up session, but once the session has been established the mailbox accounts may use their login ID with our mail server to exchange mail. The primary account is still responsible for all aspects of the mailbox account.
Global Roaming Access
HiWAAY provides nationwide dial-up access via a local call in most major cities
worldwide. Global Roaming fees vary depending upon the city, but fees are typically
substantially lower than 800 or long distance charges. Global Roaming fees are billed to
the subscriber's HiWAAY account.
